Appalachian can help make
your place have that special warmth only Rustic Hickory can
give.
Appalachian Rustic Furnishings
was founded in 1987 by the Faircloth family in Wildwood, Georga.
About twenty miles South of Chattanooga, Phil and Kathy,
along with son Ryan, gradually turned what was a backyard
hobby into a thriving business, building rustic hickory furnishings
for homes, lodges, and institutions across America. Hickory
saplings are harvested from atop the mountains and ridges
of North Georgia, Southeast Tennessee, and Northwest Alabama.
These saplings are harvested in the winter months, when
the sap is "down", insuring that the natural bark
will adhere to the piece indefinately
These
saplings are then kiln dried, treated for insects, and then
steam bent into shapes and assembled into sturdy chairs, tables,
beds, etc., allthe while keeping their natural bark rustic
appearance. Whether you are furnishing a small mountain
hideaway, an Adirondack lodge, or a big sky country ranch,
Appalachian can help make your place have that special warmth
only rustic hickory can give. Feel free to callor visit
our workshop and showroom located on Hwy 11 in Wildwood, Georgia
and let us show you our line of handmade hickory furnishings
or we can design a special rustic piece just for you.
